Reprogram Your Mind And Destroy Limiting Beliefs - Self Improvement.

In life, our entire reality and perspective were somewhat based on what we believed was real and true. This mindset reflects in the results and answers we get in life. If you want to change the result, just follow the rules I discussed in this post.

Rule 1: Follow The Blueprint.

I met a very successful man who shared with me his secrets of success. He told me that my entire reality was based on what I believed was real and what I believed was true about myself, about what's possible, and that I could change that. That's when my life started to change.

He said if you start to change the way you think and you start to learn every day for one hour to upgrade your knowledge and your skills and then you take action every day on the things that are the most important instead of all the different things you can do, if you focus on doing three to five things every day towards your goals, in one year you'll be in a different destination. Then in another three, five, ten years, your life won't be the same again.

I told him that I'm tired of living a mediocre life and that I will like to have that kind of life. He answered me and said - Follow the blueprint. If you want to change your result, focus on changing your behavior. Change your focus on the beliefs that drive your behavior. You don't have to reinvent the wheel. Don't try to figure it out.

If you want to be healthy, there's already a blueprint, if you want to fly now, there's already a blueprint for how to create an airplane, if you want to make more money, there's already a blueprint. If you want to buy real estate or the stock market or start a business or grow a business, there are people before us that have already gotten the blueprint. All you have to do is to paint the numbers inside the box and then use your creativity.

I just became a good follower on things that worked and when you follow things that work, it's like having the combination to a safe and if you are told to turn it this way or the other way for it to open and you try it and it opens, you can have access to it. But most people don't look for combinations and even when they get the combination, they try it in the wrong order.

Rule 2: Value Progress Over Perfection.

I learned the value of progress versus perfection. None of my mentors ever had me focus on perfection. They made me focus on progress to just keep getting better little incremental gain every day, every week, every month, every quarter. Even when you move backward a couple of steps, what's the progress that you made in what you learned.

I was taught that failure is an opportunity to learn and to disassociate me being a failure from failing.

Rule 3: Develop Discipline.

You cannot achieve good results without some kind of discipline. There are some fundamental truths to achieving success. Every successful person will tell you, you either pay the price of discipline or you pay the price of regret.

If you are extremely talented but are not prepared to practice, rehearse, drill, fall and fail forward to the next attempt, you will never make it like a pro. Just get used to that. If you are prepared to pay the price, you have to be disciplined.

Rule 4: Be Committed.

A great philanthropist asked me a question one day. Here it goes, "Are you interested in achieving your goals or committed to achieving them?" I stopped and looked at him and I asked him, what’s the difference? He said, if you are interested, you’ll do what’s convenient, you’ll come up with stories, excuses, and reasons why you can’t but if you’re committed, you’ll do whatever it takes, you’ll let go of your stories, excuses, and reasons you currently have that are formulating your identity. You’ll learn how to let go and become who you are destined to be.

Beliefs are the lens through which we see the world and by which we behave. If you want to change your results, don't focus on changing your behaviors. Change your focus on the beliefs that drive your behaviors.
